Collector (Dante Walker Novel)

The Collector - Victoria Scott OMG this man! Dante Walker is just so…unbelievable delish. I mean from the teasers posted by author, Victoria Scott, I knew that he was going to be one male lead that would have girls swooning all over the place, and I thought I had prepared myself for the awesomeness that is Dante Walker. Yah, he was more than what I had hoped for. Totally exceeded my expectations, but I knew, without a shadow of a doubt, that he was going to be unforgettable.Dante Walker is cocky, arrogant, and so damn fine. But he’s not your ordinary Hottie McHottie. He is a soul collector, and he is pretty much the devil’s right hand man. He’s so good at what he does, that he has been assigned to train new collectors. In order for Dante to finally get the promotion he’s been dying for, he’s been assigned to collect the soul of an unsuspecting target, one Charlie Cooper. But when Dante sees his intended target, he’s taken about. She’s not at all what he pictured her to be. She’s a typical average teenage girl…pimples, frizzy hair, crooked teeth…not the beauty queens he’s used to looking at, but there’s something about her and her soul that his boss scrambling to have her collected. But when Dante confronts and befriends Charlie, the world that he’s known for his 2 years as a collector is thrown out of whack.Secrets are revealed, feelings develop, relationships get built, and Dante is confused as all hell.If you’ve been living under ground, there’s no way that you haven’t heard the hype about Victoria Scott’s novel, The Collector. Believe in the hype people. Seriously, this book was amazing. Victoria Scott’s presentation of this swoon worthy bad boy, puts all other bad boys to shame. I loved Dante’s cocky attitude and his confidence. I loved his dark ways, and I loved his passion for his job, and for other things.I thoroughly enjoyed reading Dante’s attempts in corrupting Charlie’s soul in order for him to harvest it. And the words that would come out of his mouth were seriously laugh out loud hilarious. I for one could not wait to see what next one liner he would come up with…even his thoughts were so Dante and had me swooning, smirking, and giggling like a school girl. What I loved most was his attitude towards Charlie. How fiercly he stood up for her when her fellow classmates treated her like crap. They kept setting her up so that she would fall, and Dante would be the dark knight in white armor come to save the fair damsel. Every time he saved her, a piece of him would imbed itself deeper in my heart.Don’t get me wrong. Dante isn’t the soul focus of the book. We can’t forget about sweet Charlie. You don’t even know how much it broke my heart to see the torment that she goes through with these kids at school. And yet, through it all, she still has this kind soul and innocence that makes me totally see where Dante can feel conflicted. My heart went out to this poor girl who saw all her imperfections, and is granted the chance to change what she looks like…but for a price. And I loved loved loved the effect that Charlie had on Dante. I loved watching their moments together, and seeing their friendship grow. And the feels in the book guys! Ughhhh! Tears were shed, and anger was felt. Author, Victoria Scott, does an epic job of creating this cast of characters with so much personality, that it’s near impossible to not love them all!I loved the idea of this story when I first heard about it once upon a time, and I’m so psyched that it totally became a read that I not only devoured, but completely adored. Grab a copy of your very own, and experience the bad boy that will steal your heart, and a story that will squeeze the emotion right out of you.
