Incarnate

Incarnate - There was so much hype going on about this book, I just had to, had to check it out for myself. And…yup it lived up to all of it! I adored this book. I instantly fell in love with this whole entire world that Jodi Meadows has created. Everything from the characters, the story line, and everything else in between. The whole concept of this book is what drew me to it. To be reborn again and again and remember everything from your past lives…to be the only nosoul/newsoul ever born, and unaware of the reason for your existence. Meadows does such a fantastic job of world building. I was immediately transported into this fantasy world. I was able to visualize the streets, the surroundings, hear the sounds and the music. She does a fantastic job of describing the events happening. The scenes played out easily in my mind. And the idea of the rededication. I mean hellooooo…seriously how romantic is it to find your true love every time you are reborn and dedicate yourself only to them? *le sigh* And……………one word...Sam. I dare anyone who reads this book NOT to fall in love with Sam. The part that sealed the deal for me was at the masquerade...I mean really, all throughout the book we see this sweet, sensitive man and then *boyaaah* his animalistic sexiness comes out (RAWR)…read the book and you'll see why. Another aspect of the book that I absolutely loved was how Meadows incorporated music into the story. As a music lover and pianist, this part of the storyline grabbed my attention the most. Meadows’ description of the music Sam plays on the piano was so beautifully described. If I closed my eyes, I could almost hear the songs being played. There were a few times I just wanted to head over to my piano and try to play the song echoing in my head, but it was usually really late and I don’t think the rest of the household would be very impressed with me. So instead, I just tap, tap, tapped my fingers to the tune only I could hear. The action in the book was beautifully executed. I could literally see the events happening as though it were a movie. Jodi Meadows is such a wonderful storyteller. Everything she wrote just fell into place. The surprises found in the book had me gasp and racing on to see what could possibly happen next. Twists and turns galore, there is something in this book for everyone. Love (check), wicked stepmother (check), impending doom (check), sexy male lead that you just can’t get enough of (double check with drawn hearts), poison spitting dragons (oooo check-ola!) The story of Ana is one that I cannot wait to continue reading, with a leading man that will leave us wishing for more of him. This is a beautifully written story that will have readers talking for a while.
