Oh Trisha Wolfe, how I love your books!  The Darkest Part is definitely among the top of books that you have to read.  It’s full of sexy goodness with a paranormal(ish) type twist.  The characters are ones that you will instantly fall in love with, and won’t soon forget.  It’s everything you would want in a sexy contemporary romance read and more.

Sam is ready to spend the rest of her life with Tyler, the man she loves…until he is tragically ripped away from her life.  But is he?  Sam still sees Tyler, even though he’s dead and gone.  No matter what she does, he appears and it’s as if he’s never left…except that Sam can’t touch him…and his memory seems to be slipping.

After researching the reason why he’s lingering, Sam comes to the conclusion that she must go on their honeymoon trip, and scatter his ashes at the places he wanted to stop at.  But Tyler’s brother, Holden, takes it upon himself to protect and look out for Sam, whether it’s for Tyler or for himself.

With a past that affects both Sam and Holden in a different way, their ultimate road trip may just be the healing process they both need to get away from a dark secret that may change everything  between them.

Trisha Wolfe has written a hit here, folks!  It was a read that I absolutely could not put down.  Not only was it full of sexy goodness and a sexual tension you could cut with a knife, it was also full of so much raw emotion that you can’t help but feel totally and completely invested in the lives of Sam and Holden.

I knew what I wanted from the beginning, when it came to these characters.  Author, Trisha Wolfe does a fantastic job in having me second guess whether or not I would see it come true.  With an unforgettable twist that changes all the rules between Sam and Holden, my heart cried out for a past that made me so angry I saw red.

Holden has easily become one of my top book boyfriends.  With that lip ring and bad boy attitude, with his softer side shining through in various parts, I couldn’t get enough of this guy!  And Sam is a character that I really enjoyed getting to know.  Strong and pretty independent, witnessing her struggle with her grasp on reality also pulled at my heart strings.

I was not ready for this book to end.  I craved the conversation and chemistry of Sam and Holden like I crave coffee.  A Dark Path by Trisha Wolfe is one read that will absolutely embed itself into your very soul, and characters that are truly unforgettable.

I recommend this read to fans of Contemporary reads with a hint of something paranormal.  If you’re looking for a book that will have you thinking of it well after the last page has been turned, and are in the mood for characters that will make you have so many feels, you need to read The Darkest Part by Trisha Wolfe ASAP!
