Infinityglass by Myra McEntire

Infinityglass - Myra McEntire

After reading the first two novels in author Myra McEntire’s Hourglass series I was excited to get started with reading the latest installmentInfinityglass. Reading the first two novels in the series I was always very caught up in the scenes, relationships and supernatural abilities presented in each story. Infinityglass just might be my favorite novel in the series so far it had everything I personally could want: a badass heroine, an awesome romance and intense plot twists. Definitely an awesome read.

Infinityglass completely takes the spotlight away from Emerson and most of the Hourglass group and instead focuses on Dune. The nerdy, Infinityglass expert from the Hourglass who learns that the Infinityglass does in fact exist and that it isn’t an object. The Infinityglass is a girl named Hallie who can shape shift herself into any physical form she desires. So when Dune is sent on a job to investigate the Infinityglass further and uncover whatever abilities Hallie might have he finds himself shedding the person he used to be and becomes Hallie’s bodyguard.

Hallie is everything Dune expected her not to be. She’s a witty, beautiful and flirty genius who has lived her entire life guarded and protected by her father. Hallie finds herself growing closer to Dune in ways she never expected to and when she uncovers just who Dune really is she slowly finds herself falling for him. Everything Dune and Hallie have is threatened when Hallie’s mother suddenly takes an interest in returning into Hallie’s life. Does she know that Hallie is the Infinityglass? And if so, how? When these questions are answered Hallie and Dune both find themselves uncovering the true nature behind Hallie’s existence and who Hallie really is.

What I really loved about Infinityglass was Dune. I wouldn’t have thought that he would actually be such an enjoyable character to read about or that he would be as funny as he was. Dune was funny and romantic, his thoughts about Hallie were so cute and made me wish that guys in real life could be more like him. Dune was perfect. Perfect. And I loved every minute of reading about him and Hallie. As for Hallie she is the type of strong female MC (main character) that I think a lot of female readers will love. She’s quick and funny, constantly keeping Dune on his feet. These two were perfect together and the romance between them was just amazing.

Infinityglass is such a fun read. McEntire’s writing was light and playful, especially when it came to Dune and Hallie. These two characters had such cute banter and their thoughts were always capable of making me laugh when they were together. Dune’s geeky romanticness and Hallie’s playful manner was all just awesome. McEntire’s writing managed to bring the story to life, I could easily imagine the situations the two characters went through and also felt the same emotions that both characters felt when they were facing some of the extreme situations that were presented in the story.

After the amazing ending that Infinityglass had and the crazy plot twists that were in the novel I know that anything that comes next in the Hourglass series will be fantastic. I would recommend this series to readers who want a supernatural read that is as fun as it is thrilling and to readers who want intense romance. Anybody who wants novels that will keep them guessing and also throw them into a unique world will definitely want to check out theHourglass novels.
